IPDetective is a free IP analysis API to detect bots, VPN, proxy, and data center IP addresses. It offers a decent free plan where you can simply make an HTTP request to see what kind of IP it is. You can implement this API on your server or web apps to keep malicious attacks. This API can help you block DDoS attacks and other malicious attacks.
We have covered IP lookup APIs before. In combination to those, you can use this one and get the data about any IP address in details. Not only that but if you are a developer then you can create plugins unitizing this for platform and popular CMS such as WordPress and Shopify.
IPDetective tracks over one thousand ASNs and detects over 250 million IP addresses as bots from more than 50 regions. Right now, this API is offering 1000 requests per day in the free version. It is quiet enough for small web apps. But if you need more usage quota then you can simply upgrade to the premium plan.
