- Job Manager: DVD x 4.0 is capable of running multiple encoding jobs simultaneously. The user can also choose to watch a DVD or a preview, while the encoding is being carried out with this free video encoder. The progress of each of these task can also be tracked using the progress bar in the Job Manager Window.
- Copy and Convert: This free audio/video encoder is capable of reading and copying even copy protected DVDs. VOB files, DVD+VR and DVD-VR files can also be read and played.
- Preview: DVD X 4.0 provides a preview of the video/audio before encoding. And DVD x 4.0 is touted to be the only player to provide preview of audio, video along with subtitles.
