MTV Artists is the official MTV Artists iPad app to stay updated about international artists and follow them. The app covers almost all the artists and you can find all of your favorite ones here, no matter you are a fan of some band or any solo artist. The app provides you with up-to-date and exclusive news related to your favorite artists. According to app, as soon as MTV gets to know anything about any artist, you will also have that news on your iPad app.
Apart from just updates, you can check artist’s biography, photos, videos, origin location, concert schedule, career time line, interviews and exclusive videos, and much more. The app even lets you find artists by playing the song so that app can recognize it. Alternatively, you can also use lyrics to search for artists. The app also recommends you artists on the basis of your favorite artists.
You can also go for your history of app usage along with list of artists picked by MTV Artists team.
Using This Official MTV Artists iPad App:
On the first launch of the official MTV Artists iPad app, it asks you to register with the app which is an optional step. If you choose to skip it, then you won’t be able to follow you favorite artists. After registration, you have to follow at least 5 artists to get started. When you have followed them, you will see your feed.
The Feed is the home screen of the app from which you will get all the latest updates about the artists followed by you. You can scroll through the screen to check even the older news items related to them. Each of the update also mentions the time elapsed since it was posted for the first time. You have to tap on any of the update to know about it in detail. The update can be anything like an article, photo, video, interview, etc..
To know about any artist in detail, you only have to tap on his/her name displayed in front of each update. On opening artist’s page, you can check his biography, career timeline, interviews & exclusives, Facebook/Twitter followers, MTV Collections, Related Artists, connect with them via Facebook/Twitter, live concert schedule, and official music videos.
You can do this for any artist, no matter if you are following him or not. The app also has a few more options which you can access by tapping on the three bar icon at bottom left corner. The options are: Feed, Following, History, Collections, and Our Artist Picks.
- Feed: It is the home screen of the app which I explained above.
- Following: Check out the artists that you follow from here. You can also unfollow any of them if you want to.
- History: Check out all the activities done by you while using the app like you visited any artist’s profile, you checked any photo, etc..
- Collections: Checkout various collections compiled by MTV Artists here. Tap on any of them to know more in detail.
- Our Artist Pack: Checkout top artists picked by MTV Artists team. Tap on any artist to check complete profile.

MTV Artists is an awesome official MTV Artists iPad app which gives you up-to-date info about the artists of your choice. I really loved using the app especially the profile page of artists. It includes all the important details about the artist including a detailed biography. Its a must have app if you want to follow your artists and want to remain updated.
