PowerGDocs is a free desktop client to import and export Google documents. It is a simple, open source application which provides a easy to use interface to Google Docs right from your desktop.

It will not synchronize any data on your system with Google Docs but it will allow you to upload and download data from your system. Also it has the additional feature of document compression and security. The app has the ability to compress data before uploading it to your account and also can encrypt documents that you downloaded.

PowerGDocs allows users to remove documents and view revisions. It works with any kind of Google files and account type, including Zip and music files.

Downloading and installing PowerGDocs is very simple. Here is how to download and install PowerGDocs:

Step 1: Just click on the download link provided on the website.

Step 2: This will download a zip file to your system.

Step 3: Extract the zip file and run PowerGDocs.cmd file.

Step 4: Login to your Google account as shown below.

Step 5: Once you log-in, your files will be displayed. Now you can download or upload files.

Step 6: Download is done via the download button at the bottom of the window and upload is done by saving selected files to your Google documents.

Step 7: From the Options tab you can encrypt files. File compression option beneath it will first compresses files with 7Zip and then uploads them.
