Mahajong Ace is a free iPhone app. Mahajong is quite a popular game and everybody who has played online games knows about it or has played this game. Its quite a simple game where you match similar tiles. This iPhone app is no different, it lets you play the ever popular game now from the comfort of your phone.
The interface of the app is quite simple, as you can see in the screenshot below. The app supports ads, which can be seen on the home screen only. The game offers various levels to play. The only way to unlock the next level is once you clear the previous level.
For people who have not played Mahajong or just need a refresher on how to play it, here is a brief tutorial. Once you start playing you will see lots of tiles with different designs on them. YOu have to match two tiles with same design on them by clicking on them. Once you click on two similar tiles, they will disappear. Following this approach you will have to clear the entire board to clear the level. The tile that youselect first should follow one rule, that they should have atleast one side free and there should not be another tile on top of them.
The points you score depend on how fast you clear the board. That is pretty much how you play this game. Once you start with a new game, you will see a screen like the one shown in the below given screenshot.
The buttons on the bottom right corner starting left to right: the first button with circular arrows if for reshuffling the Mahajong board. The next button with a question mark is for getting hints, in case you click this button two matching tiles will be highlighted. The third and fourth button are to zoom in and zoom out.
The numbers on top of the screen from 1 to 7 let you change the design of the tiles. This is the coolest option which I liked the most. Usually with Mahajong you get this typical tiles with symbols on them. But this app provides you tiles with different designs on them. Everytime you click on a number up top the design of the tiles will change. So go ahead and choose the desing you like best to play with. Like the one I chose can be seen in the screenshot below.
Bottom left show you your score, time taken to complete the game and total number of tiles.
