Raaga is a free android app (also available on iOS) that lets you hear Indian music or Bollywood music for free, all you need is internet access. Be it Bollywood music beats or Punjabi rap or even Nirvana inducing Zen Music, its got it all! it’s a humongous collection of Indian music in more then 18 languages. That’s a lot for an app that you get for free, but you know what? Raaga is so much more then a free music streaming app.
Its like a social network for Indian music fans, where they can view playlists created by their friends or other Indian music lovers all around the world. Also just like in social networks, you can express your opinion through your taste in music. This makes discovering new music easy and fun. There’s also top 10 and new release lists that make finding all the new hit singles easy. Other then that there’s live radio in which you get great live music in 4 different languages. Oh and did I forget to tell you? The sound quality is Amazing!

- Great community of users, finding music of any genre (this basically means language here) is a breeze.

What I Don’t like about the Bollywood Music App
- The need to make an account to Hear music.
- The layout isn’t optimized for Android, its just a rehash of the exact same iOS app.
- When I used it on my tablet (Asus eee Pad Transformer Prime) it Crashed, which mean its not optimized for tablets.
- Lack of settings i.e. Equalizer and the ability to switch off G-sensor.
Conclusion
Raaga is an amazing free music streaming app and it gives its only real competition, the infamous Saavn Music app a run for its money (just kidding they’re both free!). If you always have internet available and you don’t like transferring music to your device, then this is one of the best apps out there for you! so go and get it now cause it wont cost you a dime, Cheers.
