Today I found this amazing software from Google that lets you do voice and video chat from right inside Gmail. This is called Gmail VideoChat.
When you install Gmail Video Chat plugin, it adds an option of “Video Chat and More” in your Gmail chat. So, if you see some friend online, you can click on this option to have a voice or video chat with them, right from your Gmail Inbox!
If you have a webcam, and your friend does not, you can still have a one way video chat. Or, you can just switch to voice chat. Gmail voice and video chat gives you the option to move your video window, and even turn it into full screen.
The quality of Gmail voice and video chat is quite amazing, and it is totally free. By integrating this application also in the Gmail, Google has ensured that Gmail would become one stop shop for all kind of communication. Now, you can use Gmail for:
