SWF and FLV Player from Eltima software is a nice free player to Download Flash movies from any website, and play Flash movies. It can find Flash movies at the URL that you specify, and then play that for your. It has advanced playback features, and lets you Pause, Rewind, Forward, and Zoom flash movies. It is extremely easy to use, and works very well.
When I downloaded SWF and FLV Player, I was quite suprised by its small size. The download file is less than 3 MB in size. The installation process took less than a minute. Once I installed it, I found that it also came with a full fledged user manual that explained all the features. That is pretty good, as not many freeware come with such detailed manuals.
SWF and FLV Player looks pretty nice. The main window is quite uncluttered, and the toolbar comes up only when you take your mouse over it. Before I played a Flash file, I had to download some Flash file. For that, I just went to File -> Downlod Flash movies. This opens a small window in which you need to pass the URL from where you want to download the file. This Flash movie downloader will discover all the Flash files at that URL, and will give you option to open them. One thing I didn’t like is that Free version does not lets you save Flash files to your computer. Instead, it will direcly open the downloaded file.
Another great feature I like about this Flash movie player is its “Info” window. This window shows detailed information about SWF/FLV files (size, SWF version, frame rate, shapes/morphs/fonts/ActionScripts/sounds/etc.)
