Microsoft Gif Animator is a free gif animation creator that was released by Microsoft many years back. It is no longer available directly from Microsoft, but it can be downloaded from many other websites. Despite being quite old, Microsoft Gif Animator is still popular as it works on all the popular versions of Windows, and provides a very easy to use freeware to create Gif animations.
Microsoft Gif Animator lets you create gif animations by letting you specify images that go into each frame of animation. You can select all the images that you want in your animation, arrange them in the required order, and Microsoft Gif Animator will create GIF animation for you.

Microsoft Gif Animator also lets you use an existing animated gif in your animation, and edit or enhance it. If you select an existing animated gif, Microsoft Gif Animator will show all the individual frames of that gif. You can change sequence of those frames, delete some frames, or even add new ones. Once you are done, Microsoft Gif Animator will create a new gif animation for you.
