Now that PicPick is available (with it's integrated editor) would that not be a better choice ?
It has tabs as well, so one can hit the print button, and hit the Minimize button, and keep repeating that action, if you wish to do a series of prints.
You can then, later, maximize PicPick, and edit, and Save the individual Tabs, at your leisure.

However, I have been using combination of Gadwin PrintScreen and Paint.net for quite some time, and would stick with it :)
