Microsoft Copilot is a chatbot based on the large-language models and was launched in February 2023, as a built-in feature for Microsoft Bing and Microsoft Edge.  It has now been made available as a Copilot App for Android and allows you to use the company’s AI chat bot on Android which is the most widely-used mobile platform.

Copilot for Android offers a simple, easy-to-use, dialog-based UI that doesn’t require the Bing app. It supports the latest OpenAI models, GPT-4 and DALL·E 3. You can use it to can ask questions to the chatbot, generate stunning images using the DALL-E 3 model, create texts for emails and documents and more using natural language text prompts. Although the application is free to download, certain features will only be accessible upon signing in to your Microsoft Account. This includes an increased allowance for chat sessions, and more.

How it Works:

1. Tap on this link to install Microsoft Copilot for Android and launch the application.

2. Type your question or query in simple natural language in the text box at the bottom of the screen and then tap on the ‘Submit’ button. You can also use the query ideas displayed on the screen to get inspired.

4. To enable the latest GPT-4 model, tap the corresponding toggle button at the top of the screen. To have longer conversations and to ask as many questions as you like, you must sign using your Microsoft account.

5. You can even use simple text descriptions and the DALL·E 3 model will use it to generate breathtaking visuals on the screen. Once the images are generated, you can tap on any of them to view it in a larger size. Additionally, you can download the images to your device or share them with others.

6. If typing the question isn’t your preference, you can simply tap on the microphone icon and verbally record it. Copilot will then transcribe the audio, convert the generated text into a question, and get the response for you utilizing its expansive language models.

7. You can also tap on the camera icon, upload an image from your device gallery and ask questions about it.

8. Microsoft Copilot is currently accessible on Android, and the iOS version of the app is scheduled for release in the near future.
