To track real-time global natural hazards and get alerts, download the Earth Alerts setup file from the website and install it on your PC. In the first run, the software asks you to enter a custom location; the location search might not work correctly in the beginning so I recommend you to skip that step. After that, it asks you to enter a Google Cloud Platform API Key. This is necessary to search custom locations and monitor respective events with Google Earth.

Use your Google account and generate a geocoding API here. Once you have the API key, go to the (Earth Alerts) Settings and click the “Applications” option from the top. On the next screen, you get an option to enter the API key at the bottom right corner, simply paste the API key there.
