Limite is a Mozilla Firefox Addon by which you can figure out how much time you spend browsing specific websites on the Internet. You can also see how much time you have been devoting to a specific website since you have installed the Add-on. If you were ever wondering how to optimize and regulate your website browsing time and enhance your productivity, this Firefox Add-on is really a boon for you.
You can choose to enable / disable individual websites (domains) to make them available for time tracking. This way you can capture information related to time spent on all or certain selected websites as the need be.
The time counter remains static if a particular Browser Tab is inactive thereby giving you a real-time value of the time that you are actually spending browsing websites.
How it Works:
- Install the Mozilla Firefox Add-on from the link available at the end of this article. Since the Install page is in Italian, please click on ‘Aggiungi a Firefox’ (Add to Firefox) button to install the Add-on
- Once installed, click on the Add-on and Enable / Disable the domains that you wish to enlist to find out the Time Spent. By default it ‘Limite’; is enabled for every domain.
- Once this is done, whenever you click on the Add-on, it will give you the information about how much time you’ve spent on a certain domain on that day and also since the date of installation.
- Clicking on ‘See all spent time’ in the ‘Limite’ Add-on exclusively gives you a complete overview of all the websites that you have been visiting with data related to Time Spent each day and also the Time Spent since installation.
In case, you wish to reset the data related to a certain domain, you can delete its entry from the dedicated page above. You can Export / Import the data from this Add-on using a JSON file if required for further analysis.
Cons:
There is no Extension for Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge Add-on available from the developers.
Verdict:
All in all, this is a decent tool and does exactly as it claims. The Developers could do better by adding a feature whereby you could limit the usage on a certain website by setting a time and custom notification in order to prevent distractions.
