This article explains how to set up and use Personal Safety app on Pixel phones. Personal Safety is a new emergency app that replaces the exiting emergency feature on the Pixel phones. It keeps you connected with emergency contacts and first responses to share info and get help when needed.

This app has two main safety features, safety check, and emergency sharing and safety check. Emergency sharing allows you to broadcast your real-time location to emergency contacts. Whereas, the safety check feature allows you to set a time interval for doubtful situations to confirm your safety. If you don’t respond after the interval, it notifies your first responses about the situation along with your location. The app can also detect car crash and reach emergency services for you although the crash detection feature is not available for all counties and devices.
