In this article, I’m covering a method to extract vocals and instruments from any song using AI for free. There can be multiple use cases to extract vocals from a song. It can be done for Kariokr to analyze or produce music. Moises is a service that lets you do that for any song with the help of AI. You can upload your audio or video song to this and it will separate the vocals and instruments from the songs.
Moises is available as a mobile app for Android and iOS devices. There is also a web app that can use. Unlike many other services, it can extract drums, Bass, Keys, and other instruments. With the free version, you can extract vocals and instruments from 5 songs per month with 5 minutes song length limit and limited instrument separation.

Extract Vocals and Instruments from Any Song using AI for Free
To extract vocals and instruments from a song, you can either install the Moises app on your smartphone or use the web app. In either case, you have to sign up for an account to use the service. After sign up, it opens your library where you can upload songs and have them with vocals and instruments separated.
There are two ways to add a song for extraction. You can either fetch a song via URL or upload the song directly to this app. It supports MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, MP4, MOV, and WMA file formats.
After adding the song, you can select the extraction option. You can pick an option from the followings and submit to start the uploading:
- 2 Track Separation: Vocals + Instruments
- 4 Track Separation: Vocals + Drums + Bass + Others
- 5 Track Separation: Vocals + Drums + Bass + Key + Others (exclusive to premium plan)
Once the upload finishes, it takes a few minutes to process the song. After that, the song appears in your library where you have to download it to get the extracted vocals and instruments. It has a special layout where you can mute/unmute any separated items and change the stereo balance as well.
Apart from the operation, this app lets you adjust the pitch as well. You can set the pitch (semitones) level for the song and can also change the Metronome. However, the metronome and chord detection feature is limited to 1 minute of length in the free plan. After vocal and instrument separation, you can download it as an MP3 file.
Moises is a nice app to extract vocals and instruments from any song. It works really well. The separation is precise and accurate. And the options to choose from and just the instruments and pitch make it a nice tool for musicians. Try it yourself and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
