GetJar is offering 100 plus premium Android apps for free this festive season. GetJar is an alternative to Android Market to download apps. This festive season they have decided to give away premium paid apps from the Android Market for FREE. Some of the popular Android Apps available for free are Smart Office, Age of Zombies, Aces Solitaire Pack 2, Fluffy Birds, Fruit Ninja HD, Krazy Kart Racing, Image Shrink, The Moron Test, and many more.
Might not be big news for regular users of GetJar, as they are known to offer premium Android apps for free every week in their Gold section. Definitely a huge news for Android users like me, who didn’t know about GetJar. I think GetJar just earned themselves a loyal visitor.
Here, is what you have to do for downloading Android apps from GetJar:
- You will first be required to download the GetJar gear.
- Open up the GetJar website on your Android device by typing http://m.getjar.com
- This will open up the webpage with a prompt to download GetJar.
- Click on the download button.
- After the app is installed, just return to the previous page and then look for the tab labelled “Apps”.
- Click that tab and then select the “Gold” tab.
- Start downloading free apps.
Note: Also make sure that under Settings -> Applications you have the Unknown Sources checkbox checked. Otherwise, you will not be able to download these free apps on your Android Phone.
