I’d also like to suggest Brightfilter Parental Control… you can download a free 30 day trial from http://www.brightfilter.com/parentalcontrol

Please include VISE Parental Control; available in English (www.kidscontrol.eu), German (www.kinderschutzampc.de) and Dutch (www.weetwatzedoen.nl).
VISE has more options and blocking rules than some of the programs mentioned here.

@Jan: VISE is not free, while all these are.

Yep, these programs are nice. And my sister use Actymac DutyWatch for monitoring internet activity of her son.

@Lika: Actymac looks quite good, and feature rich. That is a good option for Mac users.

I’m looking for a tool to monitor and control all PC uses: time restrictions, install rites, use only specific programs, etc. Not web based.
    Any suggestions??

  • http://www.pcwarder.com Pcwarder

There is a 100% free software called pcwarder that logs every Internet access. It is easy to use and offers great information about your children whereabouts. http:\www.pcwarder.com

I was shocked when I found out my son had been watching porn while I was at the office. I asked for council at his school and they advised me qustodio which blocks wrong content for kids . So far couldn’t be happier plus it is free, I think it is http://www.qustodio.com but I am not sure, try google if it doesn’t work

It looks the list misses 1 great program, which I’ve been using for 2 years or so.
The prog is called Time Boss Pro.
It’s relatively cheap and allows not only block certain sites,
but reduce their use to 15 minutes, for example.
