Little Black Book is a free social networking application which comes with a lot of interesting features. This interesting desktop application allows you to check a lot of information about your Facebook friends including their favorite movies, books, TV shows, social status and so much more. Installation
The installation is easy and takes a couple of minutes to complete. However, make sure that you do not install Babylon toolbar by unchecking the buttons which prompt you for installation of such toolbars. The application is lightweight and a breeze to use.

What you see above is the application window itself. To get started, you need to log into your Facebook account. Click on ‘Login to Facebook’ and enter the details in the next screen:
Like all other Facebook applications, this one will seek your permission to access your friend’s information and also to post on your behalf. Your friend’s information will have to be accessed for this application since this is what it is about. We clicked on the cross next to the second option to avoid the application from posting anything.
When you click on the ‘Allow’ option, you are back to the application homepage where you need to hit the button ‘Load Friends’ to get started. A list of friends is loaded on the page.
Checking out the details of your Facebook friends
Once the list of your friends is loaded, you can access the details of a particular friend by double clicking the name. We loaded a friend’s details and this how the information appeared:
- As you can see in the above snapshot, the image which is displayed above the information is the profile picture. You can do plenty here i.e. check out the status, photos, and other basic information such as name, user ID, birthday and so much more.
- You can check out the interests of the person as well including the favorite movies, songs, activities, TV and books.
- Other information such as the total friend count, number of mutual friends, current date and time and the facebook page.
- Posting on your friend’s wall also becomes easier with this application. Just hit on ‘post message to this friends wall’ option. The following window appears where you need to enter the message and hit on ‘post’.

On the whole, Little Black book is an impressive social networking application which can help you stay in touch wherever you go. The free application is a breeze to use and you can have your contacts stacked together in a single place with all the information you need.
