Boclips for Teachers is a website with millions of ad free educational videos which have been curated and rated by teachers. Teachers can use these videos to teach students without worrying about any annoying ads or unfriendly content. It is also a great alternative to YouTube, as the videos on Boclips are not hosted on YouTube. That is good because YouTube has a lot of not censored videos which should not be seen by kids. The videos on Boclips play in the website itself, so even if YouTube is blocked in your school, you can still watch these videos.

Right now Boclips is has launched its beta version. Teachers can avail the benefits of this website for free by signing up and filling in a short survey. When you start this app you will be asked to login or sign up to this website. Go ahead and fill in your name, email address, password, the subjects that you teach, etc. Once logged in you will see an interface like the one show below.


In here you will be able to enter any search term and click the search button. Related videos to your search term will open up. Browse through the search results and select a video you want to see.

In the above screenshot, you can see all the resulting videos from the search that I did. You can watch the video by clicking on the play button. The video will play within the website. You have options to play, pause, forward, rewind, control volume, and full screen on the video.

In the search results, a video is shown on the left side with a little description about it on the right. As can be seen in the above screenshot. The total length of the video is also mentioned on the right side. Each video also emphasizes that its ad free right next to the total time length of the video.

You will notice two buttons as well, which are, copy link and save. Copy link button will copy the link of the video. You can now share this video link with your students, so they can watch the video on their respective devices.

The save button will save the video to “my video collection” right on the website. It is like your favorites section, so that you don’t have to search for a video you liked again and again. My video collection can be accessed from the top right corner, under your profile photo section.

When you click on a video title it will open up in full page, as can be seen in the above screenshot.
