The Firefox add-on Wired-Marker does the same thing, with minor differences:
1) Wired-Marker doesn't have the option to share the information via Twitter, Facebook, etc.
2) However, Wired-Marker does offer more ways to customize the marked text, such as changing text and background color; bold, italic, and/or strikethrough text; and optional border with customizable underline or box style, thin or thick, and dotted or solid.
