yaTDL is a free to-do list manager that lets you easily manage your daily tasks and activities. It’s a simple and handy app designed to help you keep track of your important to-dos in an easy way. yaTDL aims at providing a convenient environment for to-do list creation and maintenance. I have worked with so many to-do list managers, but none of them provides the ease of working like yaTDL does. It’s almost like jotting down important to-dos on a paper while setting priorities for each of them; no complex interface nothing hard to figure out, just install the app and get the simplest ever to-do list manger right in front of you.
yaTDL can be downloaded from CodePlex using the link given at the end of this article. The app comes as a zip download which you need to extract and install following instructions guided by the installation wizard. After successful installation, yaTDL can be used as a personal to-do list manager on your Windows PC. Let’s see how.
Create and Maintain To-dos with yaTDL:
yaTDL is extremely simple to use. You can create projects under which you can add tasks you have to complete. Like I have created 2 different projects named “Home” and “Office”, to manage my home and office to-dos.
Under each project, I have created a task list comprising of tasks I have to complete. Tasks can be added by clicking the “New Task” button. It gives you options to specify a date on which you have to complete the task and associate a priority level with it.
Each of the tasks is supplemented with a checkbox; once you complete the task, just make a tick on it. This will add the task to the list of Completed Tasks, displayed below the incomplete tasks.
You can anytime delete the tasks or the entire project using the context menu option, or remove the Aero-glass effect from the program interface through the “Settings” window.

The Final Verdict:
yaTDL is a simple and handy to-do list manager and is apt for novice users, though it provides just 4 priority levels to be associated with the tasks. There should have been more priority levels. Rest everything is fine with the app, including the sorting feature. If you are looking out for a feature-rich to-do list manager, try out Task List Guru.
