OpenDocMan is free document manager which has an edge over ordinary document manager. You can maintain your important docs with OpenDocMan, automate work flow and optimize doc searching procedure for faster access. You can store your company training docs with this application and make them available for your employees or get rid of emailing headaches of larger docs.

OpenDocMan

OpenDocMan is open source free document management system. You need to register with the website before downloading the application. Its useful features are listed below:

Once you have uploaded files with OpenDocMan in its server it will show messages to reviewer selected by you. There are automatic review and expiration process. The reviewer can reject, accept or demand changes in the document. There is real time notification like email notification or message alert on the face of application.

OpenDocMan interface is quite simple but it has al the details that we require about document. The main window contains the list of documents assigned to your ID and its various details are showed along in a horizontal bar includes file name, description, rights of using functions in the file, date of creation and modification, author name and department to it relates. You can authorize or reject the file only if you are assigned right to do so.

When you open any particular file, you will get detailed particulars about the doc with info along with category to which it belongs and followed by the original doc. You can also change personal info and keep update information about your designation and status. In order to add doc to the server you just need to click ‘add’ tab and a page containing a form is opened in front of you. simply add details to the forms about the file and upload your file.

The information provided along with file is very useful when you need to search particular files and documents. You can make search by using any relevant info like author name, category, description and of course file name. You don’t require external indexing. The system is completely secure with secured URL and advanced user access control feature. You can make authorization to the document only when right is assigned to you.
