EmptyDesk is a free software that can hide desktop icons with one click. You can bring back all the desktop icons with another click. This is a good free software to clear your desktop quickly, but still have all your important files and icons on desktop.
This is one of those tiny programs that is going to become my favorite. I am one of those who usually have a cluttered desktop, despite tons of desktop organization software out there. I just don’t want to get rid of all those things on my desktop, but do want a way to hide them for most of the time.
That’s exactly what EmptyDesk lets me do. It has a simple interface that has just 2 buttons: Clear Desktop, and Show Desktop. Click on Clear Desktop, and it will hide all the desktop icons, and clear on Show Desktop to get all of them back.
EmptyDesk is completely free, and extremely easy to use. Love it!
