Pault is a free password manager for Windows that lets you manage passwords of accounts you create on different services like Gmail, Facebook, Twitter etc. It’s a handy and portable software that helps you safely store all passwords at one place. It also allows you to backup your id-password information of multiple accounts in a file (*.list form) and encrypts that file before creating it. Another good thing about this software is that you can set master password to lock/unlock Pault’s main interface. Thus all your ID credentials will remain secure with that master password.

You only have to remember one master password of Pault and can keep all of your accounts ids and passwords with Pault. It is quite easy to use this software and as it is portable also, so you can execute its application file to run it directly and work with it.

Its main interface is visible in below screenshot where you can see all of your added accounts and passwords.

Before adding account description, password, and email address, you have to set a master password to work with it. When you will run it for the first time, it will ask you to set a master password like it is visible in below screenshot.

Pault- create master password

Choose a strong and desired password and submit it. After this, you can come to the main interface of Pault where you will find multiple options on top. Use Add New option to store a new password along with password description, email id/username, and password.

Pault- add a new password

Likewise you can store multiple passwords and can view them on interface of Pault. If you want, you can remove any password(s) by selecting them and using Remove Selected option.

Other than this, you can change master password of Pault anytime you want using Manage Passwords option. And if you want to create a backup file of all the stored passwords, then access Backup Passwords option present in Manage Passwords.

Pault- manage passwords

Note: You can create a backup file of passwords which will be in encrypted form (*.list). But there is no option present to load that file again on Pault’s interface to view stored passwords in it. So it has done half of its work in this case.

We have reviewed a lot of other password managers earlier, but our preferred password managers are the ones that are cloud based such as KeePass and LastPass.

Some Features Present In This Free Password Manager Are as Follows:

  • A very simple and effective software to securely store passwords of multiple accounts.
  • Facility to set a master password for the main interface of Pault.
  • You can also create an encrypted backup file.
  • Uses military-grade AES algorithm to encrypt file.
  • It is portable software and doesn’t require installation.
  • You can use it completely free. Only 427 kb total size.

Conclusion:

Pault is quite easy to use and helpful software to store passwords or you can say login credentials securely. It provides feature to backup all stored passwords, but you can’t use that file even after modifying its file extension as there is no option to open that file with Pault. So here this software needs improvement. To try this free password manager yourself, hit the below link:
