Here is a simple option to create todo list in Chrome developer tools (also known as DevTools). The developer tools of Chrome browser is pretty useful to edit or debug webpages, analyze problems, etc. However, creating some to-do list in DevTools is not possible natively. A todo list in DevTools can be very useful as you will be able to create the list of changes needed, add important tasks (such as editing the webpage elements), or add some other useful information while using Chrome developer tools. Therefore, the option that I have covered here will be helpful. You can add tasks, mark them as completed, access all and completed tasks separately, etc.

To create a todo list in Chrome DevTools, I have added a free Chrome extension in this article. This Chrome extension is named as “DevTodo“, which gives a pretty good hint about the purpose of this extension. You can also sync the todo list to other Chrome devices. You just need to sign in to your Chrome browser with preferred Google account and log in to other Chrome browsers with the same account to access and use notes in Chrome developer tools.

How To Create Todo List in Chrome DevTools?

This is a very simple extension to use. You can install this extension with the help of link given at the end of this article.

After installation, open Chrome developer tools (Ctrl+Shift+I). When DevTools window is opened, there will be a separate DevTodo option to create a todo list. The interface of DevTool is very simple. On the left section, it provides:

  • All Option: Using which you can see the list of all notes created by you.
  • Active Option: To see all those notes which are not marked as completed.
  • Completed Option: All the tasks which are marked as completed will be visible here. You can also uncheck a task to add it in the list of active tasks again.

The right and the middle section is used to add tasks, mark tasks as completed, and remove a task from the list. Use options as per your needs.

The Conclusion:

Creating a todo list in Chrome developer tools is actually a nice feature. Though this feature is not provided by Chrome natively, this extension makes it possible. Just install the extension and there will be a very simple to-do list in Chrome DevTools which you can customize as per your requirements.
