This tutorial explains how to reuse questions from a Google Form in another Google Form. You can select a particular Google Form from the list of available forms stored in your Google Drive and then import questions of the selected Google Form. The best part is you will have the choice to reuse all questions or only selected questions from that particular Google Form. This is handy when you want to create a new Google Form or edit an existing Google Form and want to use all or some questions of a saved Google Form.

Apart from reusing questions from a Google Form, you can also reuse answers of that particular Google Form because all the answers to selected questions are also added automatically. To reuse questions from a Google Form in another Google Form, I have covered a useful and free Google Forms add-on, known as “formRecycler“. Once the add-on is installed, you can open a new Google Form or existing Google Form and then take the help of this add-on to import or reuse questions from a specific Google Form.

How To Reuse Questions from A Google Form In Another Google Form?

Step 1: First of all, you need to open the homepage of formRecycler Google Forms add-on. You can find its homepage link at the end of this review.

Step 2: Click on the Add or FREE button available on its homepage and then a new tab will open. If you are already logged in to your Google account, then the new tab will open a new Google Form and a pop-up will be visible in which this add-on asks your permission to run. You can grant the permission by clicking on Continue button. After that, you need to authorize this add-on to access your Google Drive.

If you are not signed in to your Google account, then you first have to log in to your Google account to follow the above step.

Step 3: After installing the add-on, you can use a blank Google Forms document or open an existing Google Form. After that, click on Add-ons icon and you will see “formRecycler” option. Select that option.

Step 4: A small pop-up will open. In that pop-up, click on “Recycle Form Questions” option.

Step 5: Now a pop-up window will open. In that window, you will see the list of all Google Forms saved on your Google Drive. From that list, select a form of your choice.

Step 6: After selecting the form, this add-on will start the processing to access the list of questions available in that form. This process won’t take much time. After that, all the questions of that particular Google Form will be in front of you. Now you can select all questions one by one or select questions of your choice. You can’t select all questions in a single click. I think this feature would have made this add-on more useful.

After selecting the questions, use the “Insert Questions” button. You will notice that all of those questions including their answers are added to your Google Form.

You can follow the above steps to add questions from any other Google Form to a particular Google Form.

You can also learn to randomize response options in Google Forms and get Google Form responses on Slack.

The Conclusion:

This is simply a very good add-on to reuse questions from a Google Form in another Google Form. It can be more useful if the option to include/exclude answers to questions is added. Also, the option to reuse all questions in one click will make it more helpful. Still, the available features are quite good and this add-on does the work of importing questions from one Google Form to another Google form very well.
