Here are 4 free online vocal remover websites to remove vocals from song. It is handy when you want to make instrumental for a particular song or generate karaoke file. These sites provide satisfactory output. Still, it depends on how the input audio was recorded, audio quality, mixing of vocals, etc.

Most of these sites support stereo tracks and use Out Of Phase Stereo technique to remove vocals from the added track. Some of these sites also let you preview the output. You can also adjust frequency to cutoff vocals, change output audio quality, codec (MP3, WAV, etc.), and more.

Let’s check these free online vocal removers one by one.

X-Minus.Pro

X-Minus.Pro interface

X-Minus.Pro (Homepage) is one of my favorite websites to remove vocals from song. The thing that I like about this website is it helps to remove vocals from mono as well as stereo track. You just need to select the input type (stereo or mono). Another great feature is you can adjust vocal panning to left or right using the available slider. Treble enhancement and cutoff frequency sliders are also there. You can use all these options and then play the output. If the output is good, you can save the output track as WAV or MP3 file. If not, adjust sliders to get the good output.

Before uploading the input track, you can set sample rate (32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, or 48 kHz) and then add an audio track from PC. It doesn’t mention size limit for input audio track, so you need to check it by yourself. This is indeed a fantastic online vocal remover.

Vocal Remover

Vocal Remover

Vocal Remover (Homepage) is a good competitor to X-Minus.Pro website. It lets you add FLAC, MP3, AAC, M4A, WAV, OGG, WMA, or other supported audio files. Once the audio track is uploaded, you need to enable “karaoke” mode (if not enabled already). This will remove vocals automatically with default filter frequency.

If the output is not good, then you can change the frequency and set it to around 115 or something else. This will give the good output. Apart from that, you can also change the codec type (MP3, OGG, or WAV), and audio quality (128, 320, 256, or 192 kbps).

Audioalter

Audioalter

Audioalter (Homepage) is one of good options to use as an online vocal remover. Stereo tracks with centered vocals are supported by this site to remove vocals. It lets you add WAV, MP3, OGG, and FLAC audio files. A maximum of 20 MB size audio file can be added to remove vocals. Here, the good thing is vocal removal process is automatic. You don’t have to adjust vocal panning, cut off frequency, etc.

Once the audio track is added, simply submit it, and the site will process the file. It will take 2-3 seconds only and the output audio will be ready to download.

Vocalremover.com

Vocalremover.com interface

Vocalremover.com (Homepage) is also a nice website to remove vocals from song. It supports WAV, FLAC, and MP3 files to remove vocals. However, the biggest limitation of this website is it generates only 30 seconds output. Even if your audio track is of 5 minutes length, only first 30 seconds output is generated.

It also provides a demo file with three different modes: original file, vocals only, and instrumental. This gives a good idea how the website works. Once you add the input audio, it automatically generates instrumental and vocal versions of that file. For both versions, a separate download option is available. Use that option and save the output.

We’ve also covered best free software to remove vocals from a song. You may check the list here.

The Conclusion:

Here I close this list which has free online vocal removers. I am highly impressed with the first website and its competitor “Vocal Remover” website. Other two sites are also good. Try these sites and check which one gives the expected output.
