Are you right-clicking and selecting "Delete" or are you highlighting the file and hitting Ctrl-X? Ctrl-X won't really delete the file, it's more so used to move a file to a different folder and if you don't paste it somewhere it will "come back" in it's original location. @goku, that sounds more like an operating system problem than a ditto problem.
