RapidShare Downloader: Download Multiple Rapidshare Files

Recently I had reviewed JDownloader – the free software that can download Rapidshare files without waiting, and without a need to get Rapidshare premium account. Today I found a similar software called RapidShare Downloader. This is a completely free software to completely automate the process of downloading files from Rapidshare for those that do not have premium Rapidshare account. You do not have to wait, you do not have to enter any captcha, and you can queue multiple files.

Before finding RapidShare Downloader, I tried a few Rapidshare download software, but none of them worked. I wasn’t very optimistic about RapidShare Downloader too when I downloaded it, but to my happy surprise, this free Rapidshare download manager works absolutely well. In fact, after using this, I was a bit angry that why I didn’t find this amazing software earlier. This one is really good.

If you do not have a Premium Rapidshare account, the biggest problems that you face are that Rapidshare makes it very difficult for you to download files. You have to first wait before starting first download. Then, if you want to start another download, then you have to wait for first download to finish, then wait for some time, and then start the second download. Very terrible experience. RapidShare Downloader takes all that pain out of Rapidshare.

RapidShare Downloader completely automates the process of downloading files from RapidShare. RapidShare Downloader starts when Windows starts, and keeps sitting in your system tray. Of course, you can disable this. It keeps on continously monitoring your clipboard to see if you have copied some Rapishare URL. So, as soon as you copy some valid Rapidshare URL from anywhere, RapidShare Downloader will immediately grab it and add it to download queue. You do not need to do anything after that. RapidShare Downloader will wait for the mandated Rapidshare wait time, then somehow automatically enters the Captcha text, and then starts the download for you. Isn’t it like a dream come true?

If you want to download multiple files from Rapidshare, RapidShare Downloader also manages that very well. If you already have a Rapidshare URL added to download list, and copy another Rapidshare URL, RapidShare Downloader will queue that as well. Once the first download finishes, RapidShare Downloader will automatically start the second download for you, and keeps doing for all the files that you want to download from Rapidshare. So, if you want to add 10 files from Rapidshare, just copy their URLs, and RapidShare Downloader will keep on downloading them for you, without a need for you to do anything.

I was so impressed with this software that I tried to push it to the limit. I tried copying some Rapidshare like URLs to see if RapidShare Downloader grabs those – but it didn’t. Then I created a URL that started with rapidshare.com, but was not a valid URL. I copied that, but RapidShare Downloader ignored that as well. This software is really smart.

Here are some of the other features of this free Rapidshare download manager:

• You can add  multiple URLs in the “Add” window. You can separate them by comma, or semi-colon.
• There is a section for “My Notes” where you can save some notes, like files that you want to download later, or your passwords.
• RapidShare Downloader also has a search feature to search for Rapidshare files.

This software is really well built, and works pretty well. It is almost a heaven for Free Rapidshare users. If you are looking for a generic download manager, try Download Accelerator Plus. To download HD  videos, Miro would be a good choice.
