Color Phone Free is a iPhone app which offers you better dial pad with gesture support and themes. This free app offers nice looking themes for iPhone dial pad. Along with this it even allows you to search contacts through handwriting. You can also choose and change wallpapers from the given ones. It also shows you call logs and your favorite contacts.
As you can see in the above screenshot the applied theme with Color Phone looks very cool. The six options it offers are as follows:
Favorites: This tab stores your favorite contacts with images. Click on this tab, then click on the green Add button and choose the contacts you want to add as favorites. Select if you want to save the contact as voice call or message. If you selected voice call then as soon as you click on the contact it will confirm that you want to call that person and then make that call for you. In case you checked the contact as message, then as soon as you click on it the message window will open up for you to type.
Call Logs: This tab will show all the recent calls. Though this tab does have a limitation, that it does not show incoming calls due to iOS restriction.
Themes: Provides you three free themes to apply. The ones with the unlock sign are available with the paid version.
Contacts: Takes you to your address book.
Keypad: This is the coolest tab, which changes the dialer pad theme. Like you can see in the screenshot above.
Settings: This tab allows you to change the appearance by giving you a choice of themes and wallpapers. Also gives you options to turn the sound, gesture support, multi-letter recognition on or off. Call confirmation option if turned on will ask you to confirm before making a call and after disconnecting the call will return you to the Color Phone interface which does not happen in case this option is disabled.
Gesture support or handwriting recognition feature helps you find contacts quickly from your address book. Just write the first alphabet of the name you are searching for in the empty space at the top of the homepage. The app will show you all the contacts starting with that particular alphabet. From there you can choose the person you want to call easily.
