MultiNote is a free Windows 8 app that allows you to take down multimedia notes. When you launch the app, you will be presented with your previous notes, and a big tile which reads New Document. Clicking on the New Document button will take you to the note creation screen where you can type text, and record audio files into the note. The new note screen will have a title bar of the note at the top, and below that, it will have the note description box. In this box, you can type the description. To record a voice note, simply right click the screen to reveal the control bar from the bottom of the screen and click on the Microphone button. This will change to the stop button once audio recording starts. If you look towards the right of the control bar, you will see the option to Add Photos. This way, its a complete app that allows you to manage multimedia notes on your Windows 8 device!

2. Voice Notes For SkyDrive

Voice Notes For SkyDrive is a really cool app for Windows 8 that let you to record voice notes on your Windows 8 device, and directly upload them to your Microsoft SkyDrive account. To record a voice note, simply click on the Record button on the home page of the app. Press the stop button when you are done recording, and your voice note will be recorded. Input a title for your voice note at the top of the page, enter some details at the right of the screen and press Save To Folder in the control bar and select a folder from the file browser to save you voice notes into, and your voice note will be saved. Now comes the part of uploading it to your SkyDrive account. To do so, simply right click the screen, and select the Sync To SkyDrive option from the control bar. Now, just log in to your SkyDrive and your voice note will be uploaded to SkyDrive. You can delete notes by right clicking on multiple notes in the home screen and then choosing the Delete option from the control bar. The app also allows you to set the type of note when you record it via the Set Status screen, and to top it all off, it allows you to share these notes via the Windows 8 share charm as well (Win+H)!

3. Work Notes Pro

Work Notes Pro is an all in one note taking app for Windows 8 devices. When you launch the app, you will be presented with a screen of categorically sorted notes that you have created on this app. To create a voice note, right click anywhere on the page, and select the New Recording button from the control bar at the top. When you do so, you will be presented with a sound recorder interface which you can use to easily record voice notes. To start recording, press the record button, and when you are done recording, press the Stop button. All these controls are aptly positioned at the centre of the screen. You can record important information about the note using the dedicated tiles on the left that allow you to set priority, reminders, set address of the note etc. and at the right, you can add comments about the note. Then again through the control bar at the bottom of the screen (right click to reveal it) you can save the note. You can also choose to record video notes, photo notes, or simply text notes if that’s what you want- and then a choose a location for saving them!
