DC++ is a file sharing client for the Direct Connect protocol which allows own files sharing on the Internet as downloading files from the local network. One of the  best features of DC++ is the simple but functional interface, and  the possibility to connect at many hubs simultaneously or restarting interrupted downloads.

If you do not know what a Direct Connect Network is, here is a brief description from DC++:

The Direct Connect network is a decentralized network, made up of individual servers (hubs) that users join to share files with other members on that hub. Each hub is individually run by a fellow user of the Direct Connect network, and may have certain themes to the content on the hub. Hub owners set up rules to regulate their hub as they see fit.

DC++ is a file sharing program on the Internet with which you can find and download any application, picture, movie or music you want because of the millions of users that are connected. It also gives you the possibility to share your files with everyone on the network.

DC++ is an open source application written in “C++” for the “direct connection” protocol developed initially by neo-modus. The program comes free of any sort of adware, spyware that you don’t need on your computer. For a P2P file sharing client, you can try Orb, or Ares.
