FastPreview is a free software that lets you preview image as a thumbnail in the shell context menu. However, a right click anywhere on the image gives you access to more options provided by FastPreview. These include opening another image, switching to free size or best fit, resampling image, opening image properties window, flipping or rotating image, deleting image, and exiting FastPreview.
