1. Sticky Notes 8
Sticky Notes 8 is not only designed with the ability to allow the users to pin the notes to the Start Screen, but it provides an interface which allows you to take down notes in small pieces of paper that look like pages straight out of a sticky note book. To add a note, simply click on the Add button on the bottom right screen corner, and you will be asked to select the colour of the note. Various options of colours are available to choose from like purple, orange, yellow etc. Once that’s done, simply start typing in the page that will show up on the screen to take down a note. The notes can be resized as per your convenience. The app also supports adding images to the notes by clicking on the gallery button on the note taking page and selecting your image. To make a note sticky (or to pin it to Start), simply click the button that resembles a thumb-pin and you’ll be good to go!

2. Sticky Notes HD
Sticky Notes HD allows you to take down notes with a lot of ease. Upon launching the app, you will be presented with an interface that allows you to quickly and easily take down notes, and this interface is designed in a notebook styled layout. There are no complex or complicated features involved in the app. Just open the app, and start typing. That’s all. You can also snap the app to one side of the screen, and the app also supports sharing of notes through the Windows 8 share charm. The app supports live tiles also and hence the note becomes a sticky on your Start Screen.

3. Samurai Notes
Samurai Notes has a beautiful interface and at that, it has a neat way of creating sticky notes. Upon launching the app, click on the Add button to create a note. You can select from a variety of backgrounds for your sticky note. All backgrounds have a cool samurai warrior featured on them. Once the background is selected, type in the title and the contents of your note. When you have entered the necessary details, click save, and your saved note will appear on the right side of the screen along with the other previously saved notes. Here is the interesting part- the app allows you to pin the created notes to the Start Screen, and to do so, while in the app simply right click on the note that you wish to pin, and select Pin from the control bar at the bottom. This note will now be pinned to your Start Screen as a sticky note!

4. Pin-a-Note
Pin-a-note is an extremely simple and straightforward app. When you launch the app, you will be presented with your previously created notes in a neat and organized manner. To add a new note, all you have to do is launch the control bar by right clicking anywhere on the screen, and clicking New. Then, simply type your note in the leaflet that appears on the screen and once you’re done typing, simply click outside. Now say you want to pin this note to the Start Screen- that’s easy as well! Right click on the note that you wish to pin, and select Pin from the control bar. When you exit the app now, you will see this note now neatly pinned to your Start Screen. Awesome, right?
