Sometimes I getdocuments from my clients on my virtual fax number, and I have to modify some text in them. In the absence of a good OCR (Optical Character Reconition) Tool, I sometimes end up again typing up that document to modify it. Online OCR is a neat web application that will make it really easy for me to extract text from faxes, and scanned documents.

Online OCR is a really good software for converting scanned documents to editable formats. The biggest limitation with this is that it allows you to convert only upto 5 pages for free, even though there are other completely free programs out there to convert a PDF to Word, or Convert PDF to Excel.
