Winspresso by iolo technologies is a free memory optimizer app that allows you to optimize your system by a few quick clicks. The app provides you with three options, namely Quick, Balanced and Deep. This app basically frees the RAM by killing the apps running in background. The Quick option takes the least amount of time, while the Deep takes the most amount of time for boosting. Once the system has been boosted, you will experience a noticeable speed bump in the performance of your Windows 8 device.

Features of Winspresso:
When you launch Winspresso on your Windows 8 device, you will be presented with a screen which looks like the below screenshot.
As is clearly visible above, the app offers three kinds of optimizations to speed up your system:
- Quick: This option takes the least amount of time when you want to optimize your Windows 8 device. Just click on it, and the optimization will be completed by killing the common memory consuming processes on Windows 8.
- Balanced: This option takes moderate amount of time, and frees up more memory, compared to the Quick option.
- Deep: As the name suggests, the option frees up most amount of memory, but it takes the most amount of time in doing so as well, when compared to the other two options.
When you run any of the three aforementioned optimization processes, you will be presented with the following screen.
You will be shown a timer, and you can cancel this optimization process as well, via the Cancel button, if you feel that the optimization process is taking too long. Once the optimization has been completed, you will be shown a confirmation message regarding the same!
In the above screen, if you click on the Start Over button, you will be taken back to the main screen of the app again where you can go ahead with optimizing your system all over again. A great feature of this app is that it supports snapped view as well for multitasking, and the optimizations work fully well in snapped mode as well!

Winspresso by iolo technologies is a great app to have on your system if you are looking for a quick way to free up some memory on your Windows 8 device and give it a temporary speed boost. The app scores bonus points for being lightweight, supporting snapped mode, and running fully well in snapped view as well. Overall, this is a pretty neat app to have on your Windows 8 device!
