But mp3 is a licensed technique, so artists are not allowed to use it for free. Ogg is free to use for everyone. Also, they say, .ogg offers better sound quality than mp3. I think that&#039;s true but you have to listen very carefully to notice. To play .ogg files, you need a player that supports the format. Most free players available on the web do. Windows Media Player doesn&#039;t play .ogg by default, but it can if you install the right codec.
