This tutorial explains how to read unlimited member-only Medium stories for free. You might already know that in the free plan of Medium platform, we can read any public story without any limit, but only 3 member-only stories (or exclusive stories) per month can be read (along with their audio versions). But, you can bypass this limit to read as many member-only stories including their audio versions as you want. This is very simple and needs only one click.
To read unlimited member-only stories with their audio versions with the free plan of Medium, you will need Google Chrome browser and a free extension. This extension is known as “Mediumship“. It opens the member-only story in Incognito mode with a single click and bypasses the free version limit. As a result, you are able to read the full story with its audio version in the free plan.

Step 1: Use the link available at the end of this tutorial and install this Chrome extension. After installation, you can see its icon on the top right part of Google Chrome.
Step 2: Open a Medium article which is restricted to member-only. You will see a message that you need to upgrade to read that particular story and listen to its audio version. Just like I showed you in the first screenshot.
Step 3: Click the icon of this extension and the same Medium story will open in a new Incognito tab. Now you will see that it is not prompting you for the upgrade. Instead, it shows that this is the first out of 3 chances of your free Medium account to read the exclusive story.
Each time you use this extension icon, it bypasses the free plan limit and this way you are able to read any member-only Medium story without worrying about free plan limitation.
