There are many free software available to download videos from websites such as DailyMotion. Some of them we have reviewed as well, like, Download Accelerator Plus. Almost all of these free software work by grabbing videos directly from the source websites (such as Metacafe). However, this limits them in the websites that they can capture videos from, and formats in which videos can be captured.
TubeMaster Plus puts a different spin at it. Instead of capturing videos directly from the website, TubeMaster plus catches the stream that is playing in your browser. This means that irrespective of the website you are playing video from, TubeMaster will be able to capture it if the video is in a supported format. There are lots of formats that TubeMaster plus supports, such as MP4, FLV. Apart from capturing videos, TubeMaster plus supports capturing MP3 format as well, so you can capture streaming songs as well.

After capturing videos and songs, TubeMaster Plus can save them on your hard drive. TubeMaster also comes with a built-in converter to convert media files to different formats, though we prefer to use other free media converters (like Format Factory) that are best at this.
You can also use the inbuilt search function of TubeMaster Plus to search for video and audio files.
This free software is based on a very novel idea. The interface leaves a lot to be desired, but we are hopeful that it will improve in future. TubeMaster Plus is currently available for Windows, and Linux. Mac version is under development (as of writing of this article).
