OpenItOnline is a free add-on for Internet Explorer (6/7/8), Firefox, and Flock web browsers. Once you install OpenItOnline, you can open most of the documents right in your browser, without a need to have a software installed.
Open IT Online supports the following file types: *.doc, *.docx, *.rtf, *.odt, *.sxw, *.xls, *.xlsx, *.csv, *.ods, *.sxc, *.ppt, *.pptx, *.pps, *.odp, *.sxi, *.jpg, *.gif, *.png.
When you come across a document of one of these types in Firefox, OpenItOnline gives you an option to open the document in browser itself. To open in browser, OpenItOnline shows a set of free online services that can be used to open that particular document type. You can use any one of those services, and open your document right in your browser.

OpenItOnline also lets you edit images directly in browser. When you encounter an image on a webpage, just right click on it, and select OpenItOnline option from Context menu, and then choose your favorite service to edit the image online for free.
