SwipeRadio is a free iPad app to listen to radio stations online on the go. The app includes radio stations from around the world and across the genre like Sports, Music, News, etc.. The app also comes with feature of auto-detection of location using which it shows you the list of radio stations around you.
The coolest thing about the app is that there’s no need to signup/login and to remember your username and passwords. Even the switching between radio stations is just a swipe away. You only have to swipe left/right to go from one radio station to other. You can also mark radio stations as favorite so that you don’t have to search for the ones you like.
The app also comes with cool background skins which you can set individually for each of the radio station to suit your mood.
Using SwipeRadio iPad App to Listen to Radio Stations Online:
When you launch the SwipeRadio app for the first time, it will ask you to provide the access to track your location. Grant the permission if you want to see the list of local radio stations. On granting the permission, you will see the list of local radio stations as shown in the screenshot below.
You have to tap on that radio station name to which you want to listen. On tapping the radio station, the SwipeRadio app starts playing that radio station and it is also added to your Favorites automatically. The circle around the radio station name signifies that the app is connecting with it to stream.
The app lets you start and stop radio station by simply tapping on the screen. You have to tap on the screen once when the station is playing to stop it and vice-versa to play the station while it is stopped.
Whenever you want to add any more stations to your favorites list, you simply need to swipe down on the screen. It will show you the list of local radio stations along with the search bar. You can use the search bar to search for your favorite radio stations manually.
The three-dot icon at top right icon is for accessing the Settings of the app. From here, you can unfavorite the currently playing radio station, check info about it, tweet about it. change background skin, and search for new radio stations.

SwipeRadio is a free iPad App to listen to radio stations online. I loved using the app as it includes radio stations from different genres, which means I can easily find the radio station as per my mood. The background skins are also cool along with the gesture-based controls. Do give it a try all radio lovers.
