GameOn World is a free multiplayer Geography game for students. The game can be played with multiple categories at once and consist of wide range of trivia questions. The questions that appear in the game are based on the categories that you select. It is an interactive game and will surely help students in learning Geographical locations, cities, facts, etc in a very fun way. In Places category, students are asked to identify a location, place, city, etc on a map by placing a location pointer on the place. Similarly, there are different types of questions which students have to answer in real-time before the timer runs out.

A teacher can simply create a game by selecting multiple categories and number of questions and then share the game ID with their students to join it. After the game is finished, it displays the top standings of the students.

There are many other online Geography games that you play to boost your knowledge but what separates it out from the crowd is that it is a multi-player game designed for students and teachers.

How to play this free multiplayer Geography game:

The best part of GameOn World is that you don’t require to login or signup to create or play a game. Teachers can simply create a game from its homepage and then share the unique game ID with students. Students can then use this unique game ID to join the game. The gameplay of this free multiplayer is fully controlled by a teacher. It gives the option to end a game anytime and move to the next question. Teachers can view scores scored by students at the end of a question and overall standing of the students at the end of the game.

According to me, the game can be best played when a teacher sets up a projector and then act as a facilitator for his students to play the game. I suggested this because the questions are visible on teacher’s end and students just get the option to submit the answer. So, if teachers set up a projector then students can clearly see the questions and mark the answers.

So let’s see how you can create and play this game:

Step 1: As I mentioned earlier, you don’t need to register to create a game, just click on Create button on its homepage to create one.

Step 2: It then opens up the interface to create the game from where you can customize the game as per your requirements. To play a location-based game, select “Places” as the game category. You can also select the number of rounds/questions from 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and infinite. It shows the unique ID that you can share with you students to join the game. After your students have joined the game, click on Start button to let the gameplay begin.

Step 3: So the game consists of questions based on categories selected in Step 2. So a question will appear on the teacher side as shown in the screenshot below. As we have selected Places categories, so questions will be location-based, so students will get a question to identify a location.

Students can quickly answer by locating the place on the map and then click on Submit button to submit their answers, as shown in the screenshot included below. Students are awarded some scores based on the accuracy of their answer.

GameOn World is a free multiplayer Geography game that can be used by teachers to boost Geography knowledge of their students. I will surely recommend this free multiplayer Geography game as it is highly interactive and let students compete to get on top of the leaderboards. It would have been great if students were able to see the questions on their end too.
