Recently a new WordPress plugin has been launched that lets you use Dropbox as CDN for WordPress site. This is quite simple to use, and let’s you use free Dropbox account for hosting CSS and JS files. This can improve performance of your website, as well as reduce bandwidth costs (in case you have metered bandwidth).
However, there is a big problem with using Dropbox as CDN that makes it completely useless.
Many offices block Dropbox as it is a personal file storage service, and most of such websites are blocked in offices. This means that any file on your website that has a Dropbox URL will automatically get blocked, and your site will not render correctly.
Just because of this reason, I would not even consider using Dropbox as a CDN (unless there is some way to cloak URLs to hide that the files are hosted on Dropbox).
